Infrastructure

The Department of Information Technology was started in the year 2000 with an intention to cater the needs of IT industry. The course curriculum is framed as per industry requirement and has received rave reviews.

The computer center of IT department has 05 laboratories catering to the needs of students. Internet access is provided through a 4 Mbps leased line. Digital library facility with online IEEE & Springer journals, magazines etc is also provided.

The computer centre infrastructure consists of 120 computers complemented by some of the latest software like Informatica, Keil, MathLab, Rational Rose, Macro Media Studio, Operating Systems (Linux, Windows, Solaris etc), Net Beans IDE, Web Sphere, Tom Cat, Web Logic, Glass Fish etc just to name a few. The computer centre also has well established labs for VLSI and Embedded Systems.

The other laboratories of the department are as below:

  • Basic Electronics Lab
  • Electronics and Communication Lab
  • Microprocessor Lab
  • Mini Project Lab
