Anti - RaggingIn the wake of the Supreme Court of India directive to the government to put in place a tough regulatory Mechanism to check ragging menace in campuses the Center on 20-6-2009 launched a toll free round-the-clock anti-ragging helpline No. 1800-180-5522. Thwe helpline will help the students in distress to get immediate assistance. Another numbe, 155222 will be functional within 3 months. The students, parents abd guardians can file complaints via telephone or email the internet on helpline@antiragging.net also. The call center is located in Delhi and the professional manning will respond to calls in English, Hindi, and a selected regional language with a call recording system. When the complaint is registered, the caller will be given a unique number and within 15 minutes the complaint will automatically be sent to the authorities concerned. The identity of the caller will be protected. The unique number can be used as a reference for all future communications and feedback. The matter will be tracked until necessary action is taken.
