UG Programme

BE Production Engg

About the Course

The department of Mechanical Engineering has evolved over time to keep up with the ever-increasing challenges in technology development, while maintaining a strong base in the fundamental aspects. The department also offers the course B.E. in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Production Engineering with an intake of 60 students. In addition to well qualified faculty members and experienced non-teaching staff, the department also has well-equipped state of art laboratories. The CAD/CAM lab is equipped with 60 computers with latest software’s, CNC machines, conveyer system and Robotic arm. A part from teaching core engineering subjects, the students are also given opportunities to choose from wide range of elective subjects and research based innovative projects to specialize further in their field of interest. The students are also encouraged to participate in extra-curricular activities, to undergo summer internship and also to attend placement training programmes. This course enriches the graduates of mechanical engineering to function in manufacturing sector in software development, in the areas of application of CAD/CAM & CNC, and also enables them to work as production engineer in design and manufacturing industries.

Vision

To produce high caliber, competent, industry oriented Mechanical Engineers.

Mission
